When
installing the latest DK2 drivers, the old driver must first be removed.
This should be done automatically. If for some reason the removal
of the old driver fails then you should try to remove
the driver manually as follows -
Open the Windows
Control Panel
Open the Add/Remove Programs
or Change/Remove Programs
option
Select the DK2 DESkey Drivers
item
Select Remove to remove the
driver
Prompts should indicate that the driver has been "uninstalled"
In the unlikely
event that this procedure also fails then you can remove the driver
by editing the Windows registry as follows -
NOTE : Changing
the Windows registry can cause your computer to stop working correctly.
Do not change the registry unless you are confident about doing
this.
Select Start then Run
from the Windows taskbar
Type in REGEDIT at the "Open"
command line
The Windows Registry Editor will start
Open the key HKEY_LCOAL_MACHINE
Open the key Software
Open the key Data Encryption Systems Limited
RIGHT-Click the key DESKey Control Panel
Select Delete from the popup
menu
Close the REGEDIT Window
Restart your comnputer
You should now
install the latest DK2 driver. See below for example of Regedit
screen showing the entry to be removed (highlighted).
