In addition
to the all-new ScotWeave products highlighted on our Home
page, the following is a selection of some of the
new features that have been added to ScotWeave for the month of
October 2003 -
Dobby/Jacquard
New Drape 3D
feature to drape the current fabric on a real 3D wireframe model.
Dobby/Jacquard
Fine tuning of the Weave
3D feature which shows the weave structure as a real
3D model. Check this link to see how you might improve
your 3D graphics performance.
Dobby/Jacquard
Adjustments have been made to the calculations used for the automatic
fabric costing feature of the program (which shows the fabric
cost as you create a design).
Dobby/Jacquard
Improved import/export options make it easier to import weave
data across all programs (e.g. import jacquard weave into dobby,
jacquard base weave into dobby, dobby weave into jacquard and dobby
weave into jacquard base weave).
Artwork/Jacquard
New Direct to Loomdisk
feature to greatly speed up the process of creating a jacquard design
from artwork to finished loomdisk.
Artwork/Jacquard
The list of supported Windows image file formats has been increased
for improved compatibility with other software.
Artwork/Jacquard
New Paint Brush interface which includes pen sensitivity
and allows users to store their own brush palettes.
Artwork/Jacquard
Improved handling of image Drops and drop construction.
Yarn
Designer
Fancy
yarns can now use up to 32 separate colours instead of the
original 16 colours. This makes colour compression of the scanned
yarn easier and results in better simulations.
Yarn
Designer
Improvements
have been made to the yarn costing feature. A new Update Yarn
Costs option makes it easier to change costing values.
