Object
Mode
An "object
mode" allows images to be built up in layers and the
"objects" on these layers to be moved independently of
each other. You can add a motif as an object to a background image
then move the motif later and the background image will be redrawn
to fill the space previously occupied by the motif.
Repeating
Modes
A full set of repeating functions are provided - including half
drops and tile drops. When viewed in repeat all repeated parts
of the artwork are updated simultaneously by any changes made to
one repeat of the artwork. You can also work across the joins of
the repeats.
Full
Zoom and Pan Operation
Images can be zoomed in for detailed and zoomed out for an overview
of the entire image. This is always active and operated via separate
icons (or keystrokes) that do not affect the current painting tool.
Above a certain zoom in factor a grid can be superimposed upon the
image to help identify individual pixels.
Edge
Lock - Extra Weft
Artwork Designer can automatically add edge locking colours
(to be assigned to binding weaves in jacquard). For extra weft
insertions (cramming) colours can be quickly and easily assigned.
Independent
X-Y Scaling
Once jacquard sizes have been applied to the artwork and the image
resized to suit, the image is scaled on screen to restore the original
proportions so that, for example, a circle will always appear correctly
on the screen even if the warp and weft scaling are not equal.
Full
Range of File Export Options
A complete
range of file formats is supported for save image files. When saving
an image for jacquard work use the native Artwork Designer image
file format, but you can also export all of the standard image file
formats (e.g. TIFF, BMP, PCX, JPG etc.).
