The DK2 dongle was introduced for ScotWeave software in late 1999 and has gradually replaced the DK25 dongle for new systems since that date.

A new smaller version of the DK2 (centre above) was introduced in August 2003.
A USB version of the DK2 (right above) became available to ScotWeave users in September 2003.

ScotWeave can any of the three types of DK2 and they are all interchangeable.

The two rectangular DK2s are parallel printer port devices

The USB version of the DK2 plugs into a USB port on the computer
