Fabric Simulations
Once
the weave and colour patterns have been entered the resulting design
will be viewed on screen. As you change the weave or colour patterns
the resulting design is updated and viewed in real time.
A
range of 3D viewing tools allows for more realistic fabric
simulations - such as bending and expansion of individual threads
in the fabric to duplicate the thread distortions found in real
fabrics. A range of fabric finishing effects, milled, raised or
softening effects, can be applied
3D
Fabric Simulations
Several advanced 3D modeling features are included to help visualise
your fabric design.
Weave 3D allows you to view the fabric structure as a real 3D
image and to move around the structure in real-time. You can edit
the structure in this mode and trace the path of individual threads
through the weave
Drape 3D
automatically drapes you fabric onto one of several supplied true
3D models with real time movement in and around the model available
Auto-drape quickly views your
design draped on one of several supplied "2.5D" models
and updates the model view as you change the fabric.
Printing
Accurate fabric simulations can be printed on any Windows-compatible
printer. A print queue feature allows you to print a
range of designs, one after the other. Printouts can be configured
to show yarn colour chips and fringed edges. A print catalogue
option allows you to arrange more than one design on a single printed
page for presentation purposes.
Loomcards
The
layout of the loomcard can be configured by ScotWeave to
closely match that of most existing production specification sheets.
The loomcard can include fabric composition, weights required
to make the piece, costing information and even a colour image
of the fabric.
Production
Data
Weaving instructions can be output directly to electronic dobby
equipment for direct control of looms. Currently we interface
to Staubli, Dornier, AVL, Emmerich Berlon CCI Tech etc. Other
loom drivers are available on request.
