This procedure
can be used if you have a floppy disk with old MS-DOS version
ScotWeave files stored on it and you want to use these files in
the Windows version of ScotWeave. The example below is for old ScotPaint
Image Files.
1. Place
the floppy disk in drive A:
2. At the Windows desktop select Start
- Run
3. Type C:\ScotWeave\System\Program\convert.exe
4. Click on OK
5. The ScotWeave File Conversion utility program will start
6. Check the
"Location of OLD ScotWeave Files" box
7. Select
A: Floppy/Removable Disk
8. Check the "Location of NEW ScotWeave Files" box
9. Select C: Local Hard Drive
10. Click on OK
11. Select Convert - ScotPaint
(or some other file type)
12. ALL the ScotPaint files on the floppy disk will be converted
13. File - Exit from the Conversion
program.
14. Start
ScotWeave Artwork Designer
as normal
15. Select File - Import - ScotPaint
IMG File
16. Locate the folder where the converted files are stored
17. Select the file you wish to open
Note that the
conversion process will use the same folder names and filenames
as those used on the floppy disk.
