Advanced File Browsing is a new ScotWeave feature which allows thumbnail views of ScotWeave files to be viewed when selecting a file to be opened. This makes it easier to locate files. This function is also available when selecting yarns. To enable this new feature you must switch it on using the following procedures -

Advanced File Browsing In Dobby Designer

1. Start Dobby Designer as normal
2. Select Configure - User Preferences
3. Look for the Various section in the dialog
4. Enable the New Yarn Browse checkbox for yarns
5. Enable the New Dobby Browse checkbox for design files
6. Enable the New Weave Browse checkbox for weave files
7. Click on OK

The values you enter here will be stored and used whenever you start Dobby Designer.

Advanced File Browsing In Jacquard Designer

1. Start Jacquard Designer as normal
2. Select Configure - User Preferences
3. Look for the checkboxes at the lower left of the dialog
4. Enable the Show New Yarn Browse checkbox for yarns
5. Enable the Show New Fabric Browse checkbox for design files
6. Click on OK

The values you enter here will be stored and used whenever you start Jacquard Designer.
