When you change
the ScotWeave default printer, ScotWeave will automatically setup
new PCR printer libraries for each yarn file which will initially
be empty. Since most colour printers have different colour ranges
it would not normally be appropriate to use the same PCR values
matched for one printer for another printer, since you would get
different colours printed out.
Sometimes, however,
there may be a case for applying the same PCR values for different
printers. This might be the case for two similar printer models
from the same manufacturer (with the same inks and colour range)
or where the Windows printer driver name is different for the same
printer (this can happen when connecting a network printer or using
a different Windows version but the same printer).
In these cases
you might want to apply the existing, matched PCR values to a different
printer name. This can be done using the following procedure. First
you must change the ScotWeave default printer to the
new printer that you wish to use. Click
here to see how this is done.
1. Start Yarn
Designer as normal
2. Select File - Yarn File Tools - Remap
Library
3. Now select a yarn file to be remapped
A dialog will
now appear. This dialog shows the names of all of the printers
to which the current yarn file has been matched, along with the
number of yarns in the yarn file matched to each printer. A checkbox
will be seen beside each printer name.
4. Click
the checkbox of the printer whose PCR values will be
used.
5. You can remap this file only or all files in the current folder
6. Click the radio button
to decide which files will be remapped
7. Click on the Remap Library
button
