Although you can select a dobby loom within ScotWeave Dobby Designer, it will generally be more convenient to select the correct default loom in the ScotWeave Setup program. This is done as follows

1. Start ScotWeave as normal
2. Select Setup & Print then Setup
3. Select Configure - Dobby Loom Controller
4. Click the drop down menu Loom Controller Type
5. Select your loom controller from the list
6. Select any other parameters (e.g. serial port) if relevant
7. Select Files - Save to save your changes

Now, when you use the loom controller options in Dobby Designer, the loom selected above will be used as the default.
