Generally, if ScotWeave is working correctly there will be no need to update the DK2 dongle driver. The following procedures are therefore provided for reference or for those who like to keep their Windows drivers updated to the latest versions.

Update From the ScotWeave CD

A current dongle driver is provided with every ScotWeave update CD. This will not be the very latest version but may be newer than the version already installed on your computer. To install this driver

1. Place the ScotWeave update CD in the CD-drive
2. When the CD autostarts select the blue Dongle Drivers button
3. Click the Yes - Install drivers button
4. Follow the screen instructions

You may be prompted to uninstall the earlier dongle driver. If so then answer Yes to this prompt.

Update Latest Driver From DESKey Website

The very latest dongle drivers will be available on the DESkey website. Use the following procedure for this.

1. Connect to the DESkey website by clicking here
2. Click the Support link
3. Click the Download Latest Drivers link
4. Look for the DK2/DK38 driver that matches your Windows version
5. Click on the link to start the download

This procedure will download a file called dk2win32.exe. Once downloading is complete run this file by double-clicking on it, then follow the screen instructions.

You may be prompted to uninstall the earlier dongle driver. If so then answer Yes to this prompt.

Please note that we do not recommend that you install beta versions of drivers.
