The last few
months have seen further developments in the area of fabric simulations.
The latest simulatons available are for Jacquard Designer
and include a "calendering" simulation.
Calendering
is a process in which a fabric is passed between heated rollers
under pressure. Various embossed, glazed, or Moire effects can be
obtained depending upon the nature of the roller surfaces and types
of yarns or finishes used in the fabric.
