Harness
Test Disk
A harness test disk can be created automatically. This is designed
to test the operation of the pattern hook lifters in the
harness and makes it easy to check that the warp has been threaded
correctly in the harness.
Create
Loom Disk
Create a loom disk simply by selecting a harness plan and a design
(jacquard or dobby). You can centre the design in the harness, check
the warp lifting load, weave face down, add a fringe and send multiple
repeats of the design to the disk as required.
Read
Back and Edit Loom Disks
You can
read back any of the above loom disk (even if they were not created
by ScotWeave) and display the weave information on the screen. Once
on the screen the following options are available -
Edit the
weave and write back to the same or to another loom disk
Read the weave into Jacquard Designer to create jacquard simulation
Cut out part of the weave and create a new loom disk or
jacquard design
Save weft selector (boxing) sequence to file
Open and apply a previously saved weft selector (boxing)
sequence to loom disk
Change selvedge weaves
Loom
Disk Conversion
An option
to convert one loom disk type to another is provided (e.g. Staubli
JC4 to Bonas). Simply insert the source disk, select this option,
wait for the prompt, insert the destination disk and conversion
is carried out automatically.
Other
Advanced Features
Option to create backup copies of loomdisk files to hard
disk automatically for archive purposes.
ScotWeave WXF file format available for e-mailing of non-Windows
files (i.e. Staubli JC3/JC4 loomdisk files) between ScotWeave
computers.
