ScotColor is a software enhancement for ScotWeave with three main uses -

Accurate colour communication between different systems
Accurate colour reproduction on screen and printer
Colour input using CIE colour coordinates

With ScotColor installed you can use accurate measured colour data (from a spectrophotometer) to create yarn shades and to display colour on screen and automatically on the printer. This avoids problems of matching screen colours to printer colours (see Colour Matching)

Once installed, ScotColor intercepts colour input and output in all ScotWeave programs and uses advanced mathematical techniques and calibration data to ensure colour accuracy throughout.

ScotColor also allows you to create new colours visually (using a simple colour circle arrangement) and to derive the CIE colour data for that colour. Show Me
