All ScotWeave software has been specifically written for Microsoft® Windows® (i.e. it is not software ported from UNIX or rehashed from old MS-DOS software). It is tested on the following Windows® platforms -

Windows® 98, 98 SE
Windows® Millennium Edition
Windows® NT4 Service Pack 3

Windows® 2000
Windows® XP (ScotWeave recommends)

ScotWeave uses industry standard computer hardware and has no special requirements. The minimum recommendations below are correct at the last site review date (see top left).

Intel Pentium III, Pentium 4 processor or AMD equivalent @ 500 Mhz or faster
512 MBytes RAM (1024 or 2048 Mbytes preferred)
50 GByte hard disk (installation requires approx. 200 MBytes)
17 to 21 inch colour monitor or larger
CD-ROM or CD-RW or DVD drive (for software installation)
USB ports (at least 1 free for dongle connection)

Any Windows®-compatible colour printer
Any Windows®-compatible colour scanner

ScotWeave software will work equally well on a laptop computer and a desktop computer.
