Cut-Outs
(No pile)
ScotWeave can handle 1-pile, 2-pile, and 3-pile designs and all
of these can be combined with cut-out areas of no pile. In
the cut-out areas you can see the ground yarns in the fabric view.
Variable
Pile Density
Designs with varying amounts of pile threads per pile stripe can
be created. You can mix 1 pile end per dent with 2 pile ends per
dent, or 2 pile ends per dent with 3 pile ends per dent, or any
combination of the three allowing greater design flexibility.
Warp
Tension
ScotWeave automatically analyses and calculates the warp tension
on every warp pile thread. This information is then used to allocate
pile threads to the available warp beams. If there are not enough
beams for the required warp tensions then ScotWeave will display
warning messages and indicate which warp threads do not comply.
Fabric
Simulations
Once the weave and colour patterns have been entered the resulting
design will be viewed on screen.
As you change the weave or colour patterns the resulting design
is updated and viewed in real time. A blooming option
is available which spreads the fibres of the tufts to simulate
the effects of shrinks and other variations of fibre types.
Loomcards
Production data can be printed to a loomcard, the layout
of which can be configured by ScotWeave to closely match that of
most existing production specification sheets. The loomcard can
be made to include interruptions, fabric composition, weights
required to make the piece, costing information and even a colour
image of the fabric.
