Only the DK2 ScotWeave dongle is compatible with Windows® XP (see below). This is available as either a parallel printer port device or a USB port device.

The earlier serial port DK25 dongle (with short ribbon cables at each end) is not compatible with Windows® XP. If you are using a DK25 dongle and intend to upgrade to Windows® XP (or Windows® 2000) then you must contact ScotWeave and request a new dongle. For users with a current software maintenance agreement a single DK2 replacement dongle can be supplied free of charge. Multiple replacement DK2 dongles will be supplied at cost.

Note that if you intend to upgrade to Windows® XP then you must ensure that you have the latest version of the DESkey DK2 dongle driver installed. This is supplied on the ScotWeave update CD or can be downloaded from the DESkey website. When upgrading to XP it is recommended that you uninstall the DESkey driver before upgrading, then reinstall the driver after upgrading.
